We are just inputting our first projects into Daptiv, and I got an email this morning from an external resource who was added to a project late yesterday. We wanted him to receive notifications, but had no idea the notifications would be the same as for users (minus the link). He emailed me saying his link was missing...

The email notification he received is below:

Thank you for using Daptiv PPM. Your new Construction is called Fiber Connections for Overflow Video Broadcasting.
Next time you log on with the Login ID "paverwey@ucdavis.edu", you will see the name of the project appear as a link on your Navigator pane. If you would like to view the project right now, click on the link below.

Is there a way to send a different message to external resources? It's very confusing to tell people what they'll see the next time they log in, when they can't log in, and also to tell them they can follow a non-existent link. Any ideas???

Hi Karen,

At present, there's no way to customize or alter the behavior of notifications, which makes sending notifications to External Resources a little confusing at times.  Greater flexibility and control over notifications is on our product roadmap, but please be sure to submit an enhancement request to add your voice in support of this feature.

Thanks, Eric. Will do. I just figured that if the system was smart enough to know not to inlude the link, surely it must be smart enough to be able to not tell people to follow the link. I guess we'll just be sure to let external resources know, for now, what the situation is or turn notifications for them off altogether (which seems a shame).

 I'm off to plant the enhancement idea :)
