I would welcome a white paper on the Capacity Planner and, more generally, its use in formal Capacity Management meetings. Is one forthcoming?

I would also like to produce and distribute a resource requirements report to the managemet team prior to the meeting but we have not been successful in creating a comprehensive report showing resource requirements through the tool or through crystal ARE. We have not yet implemented the Work Intelligence release. Capacity Planner export is a bear to manipulate once in Excel due to its format. Any suggestions?

Finally, I would love to hear about experiences using Daptiv for resource planning and capacity management from other organizations - both how you are using the tool and what your business processes are.

I have not had time to write a formal whitepaper on the subject. Essentially, you can provide resource role hour estimates from the project request or at the project level to be used as a capacity planning tool. As you will see from the attached documents, I provide a resource management process flow for all aspects of resource management.  I have talked to a number of organizations with the desire to build their team from the enterprise, assign tasks from the project schedule and then combine the scheduled hours by role to move those totals into the Capacity Planner.  The PM or project analyst can provide role estimates using these schedule totals.  Please see the attachment.
