Hi,

What I need is a client/contact list where I can assign the client/contact to my projects if needed, or just view the contact information in a master contact list at anytime for any project. 

I would like some advice on the best way to utilize the contact list, resource list and dynamic application. 

I know the contacts is basically project members and daptiv users w/login ability, while resource lists are used more for budgeting and planning w/in projects and no login privileges.  If I create a "client list" dynamic application, can I add the user/clients to my projects and would they have login privileges, and would they show up in my browse member directory?

If you create a Contact List DA, enterprise enable it (be sure Enable Enterprise Application is checked when you edit the DA), and put it in every project; you can create a master view from the enterprise tab.  You can also group and sort as you want.  You can do the same when creating a report.  This will gather all information.

 It is harder to do what you are asking for at the start...to create a master list and assign to each project.  I would keep the information in a DA in each project and then use a master view/report to see all of your information by project.

Just to verify..........You are recommending that I create a dynamic application to start a client/contact list.  I just want to make sure that there are no limits to the number of clients/contacts I can include in the dynamic app., and that if needed, these clients/contacts can access daptiv if given permissions.

Are you also recommending that I limit the contacts to our daptiv users?

Sorry, I am just trying to figure out the best way to utilize contacts, resources and DA's all together.  I want to set up correctly in the beginning to avoid unnecessary changes.
